Tonight I saw the Soweto Gospel choir at the Kimmel Center in Verizon Hall.
The theme of the concert was “The Spiritual Journey”. The selection of songs ranged from traditional Zulu and Sotho hymns, to Bob Marley’s “One Love”, and Bob Dylan’s “I’ll Remember you” with “Amazing Grace ” in between. They closed with a selection of Christmas hymns.
Their voices, harmonies, music and dance take you as close to the Divine than any voices, harmonies, music and dance could. They were transcendent.
Tonight I promised myself to never miss them when they come to town.

Sounds like a very uplifting experience. Do they have CDs available?
